Plant delivered to a site the road does not serve well

Excavators, dozers, haul trucks, drill rigs, crushers and screens move on low-beds and semi-trailers. The last few kilometres are the hard part, so we survey the approach before the load is built.

Permits and route planning handled

We move loads over the permitted height, width or length under a special load permit. We check bridge capacity, gradients and turning room on the approach at the same time.

Lifting in the field

Changing out a bucket, a boom, an engine or a gearbox, setting crusher and screen sections on their frames, lifting conveyor modules and tanks, and recovering a machine that has stopped where it is. A mobile crane that can travel to the pit and set up on prepared ground does work that would otherwise wait for a shutdown.

Maintenance that comes to the machine

We repair on site when a machine cannot go to a workshop, and record the work against the asset for the next owner or auditor.

Crews who will work away from town

Operators, riggers and drivers on rotation at a site with camp accommodation, and a bus run for the workforce where the mine draws from nearby settlements.

Lifting appliances and lifting gear registered and thoroughly examined, with the register kept and available to an inspector.

Special load permits

Indivisible loads over the permitted dimensions move under a permit issued through the Ministry of Works and Transport.

Site induction and permit to work

Our crews take the mine's induction and work inside its permit system, including traffic management rules on haul roads.

Ground conditions for lifting

The mine confirms the standing position and its bearing capacity. We state the load the machine will impose.
