Transport sized to the unit

A power transformer is heavy for its footprint and does not tolerate shock loading. It moves on a low-bed with the load secured and the route planned for bridge capacity, overhead clearance and turning room, under a special load permit where the dimensions need one.

Lifts that land in position

Setting a transformer on its plinth, landing switchgear in a bay, or placing a prefabricated substation building is a positioning job. Radius and ground bearing matter more than raw capacity, so we choose the crane for where it can stand.

Access for work at height on structures and lines

Stringing, fittings, insulator changes, gantry steelwork and maintenance on tall structures are safer and quicker from a boom lift or man lift than from a ladder or a tower of scaffold. On a live or partly live site, the machine and its working envelope have to suit the clearances the client sets.
